Superior Insulation and Energy Conservation

Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs)

SIPs offer superior insulation value and are solidly on the leading edge of green building technology. These panels are composed of expanded rigid insulation sandwiched between two layers of structural panels, typically made of oriented strand board. The components are often recycled or are byproducts of other manufactured products, doubling their "green" value. For more information on SIPs visit www.sips.org, and www.eere.energy.gov.

ICFs provide superior performance in multiple aspects of construction including insulation, strength, and comfort. In Colorado’s sometimes harsh climate ICFs stand up to high winds and heavy snowfalls while ensuring a comfortable and quiet interior environment. Clients find that ICFs reduce energy costs, and often payback within a few short years. For more information on ICFs, visit www.amvicsystem.com.

Radiant Floor Heating

Set in concrete or gypcrete (and sometimes sand) to provide thermal mass, radiant floor heating systems provide superior energy efficiency and comfort. Installation offers reduced energy costs and enhanced comfort. The systems are remarkably flexible, allowing clients to set temperatures in various zones to suit their preferences. A master bathroom, for example, can be set at 80 degrees while the adjacent sleeping area could be set at 65. Exterior snowmelt for driveways and patios can be added to the system at marginal cost.
